like the title of the thread states:
who's going?
i won't be there, but it'd be cool if someone could report the setlist and stuff like that.
how bout the rest of the shows? i looked at the holes in my jeans, i mean, i looked at the calendar and only 1 of all their shows is sold out. i was surprised. i figured that with the smaller more obscure venues, the amount of tickets would decrease, and people would be attending. shocked to see that several dates starting in 2 weeks have not sold out (or they're not listed as sold out on the website). i'll be honest: i don't feel like going on ticket master and doing my homework to check.
with that in mind, when i see them 2 saturdays from now (countin down the days!) i'll be glad to give a report. was hoping to tape a show or 2, but not going to happen any time soon.

Thanks for starting this thread, so we can go back to bitching about the cities they are skipping on tour. (JUST KIDDING!) I think a lot of the shows are selling out, but the official website isn't updated very often.

you're right about the website not being updated. i checked the discography section and have not seen the GH cd, record or dvd listed yet. i guess with the upcoming tour, there are bigger priorities.
speaking of the discography, i wonder when the webmaster will meet up with JGoaten and Ben to develop the bootleg discography?

I know of one show here in NJ that is sold out, but it is not reflected on the official site. I'm curious about the set list for this tour. In any case, I always enjoy a Social D. show so it doesn't matter too much.

I'll be there! I wish I had the proper equipment to record the show. I'm hoping for two things...a merch booth that's well stocked with all the sizes to pick from, then maybe I can get something that actually fits.....and for Making Believe as the opener.

Your right Jen, the official site is not updated that much at all. Esp. compared to most big band websites that are runned more effectively...

Here's the setlist....I think it was the same for the St. Louis show back in May.
Road Zombie
Reach for the Sky
Hwy 101
Under My Thumb
Bad Luck
MLM
Lude Boy
When She Begins
Far Behind
Ball & Chain
6 More Miles
Gotta Know the Rules
Sometimes I Do
Nickels & Dimes
Prison Bound
Ring of Fire
SOML
The sound for the first band, the Heart Attacks, was really bad. I think that made them even more forgettable than they were. They did attempt a cover of the Dead Boys' Sonic Reducer...sorry guys, Pearl Jam does it better.
The Hangmen had a little more luck with better sound, and they might be worth checking out. The lead singer said that Mike Ness produced their last record. (I'm sure you Cali people know this already??)
The merch booth didn't have anything new for the girls, but there is a gray guys t-shirt that was pretty cool looking. There still weren't any XL's in the Black Kat stuff, and the other sizes are ridiculously small...what's up with that?
We were sitting right behind and just above the sound board, so we had a good view when the guys started coming out, sirens wailing. Mike came out with the bandana over his face, and they opened with Road Zombie. The sound was MUCH better, but I thought it sounded a little hollow and seemed to be bouncing off the walls and echoing back in my ears. We noticed right off that both Brent and Jonny seemed to be moving around more, lots of jumps and bouncing around. I guess the road hasn't worn them down yet.
Mike told the story behind Far Behind...he had a friend that needed a good ass kicking, but he decided to be the bigger person and write a song about him instead. It was nice to know the words this time around.
The crowd was pretty mellow for a Friday night...only a small mosh pit and nothing was thrown until almost the very end of the show. Some guy managed to sneak back stage and appeared behind Jonny, waving his hands and smiling until security came and started pushing him around.
I knew that SOML was on the setlist, and it was good to hear them play it instead of skipping it and cutting the show short....they're already too short anyway. Those of you who have tickets for upcoming shows....enjoy yourself!

I was there sitting in the first row of the balcony. Cool venue.
I think Mike should have asked how many were from St. Louis instead of Chicago. Lots of STL people there.
God, The Heart Attacks were AWFUL!!!!
